Corey Van Landingham is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Illinois, part of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. She holds a PhD in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of Cincinnati, an MFA in Creative Writing from Purdue University, and a BA from Lewis & Clark College.
Her research interests focus on Creative Writing: Poetry, with specialties in The Public Poem and Poetics, Ekphrasis, The Long Poem, Epistolary Poetry, and The Love Poem. Her work explores intersections between poetry, art, and narrative form, appearing in journals like American Poetry Review and The New Yorker.
Her publications include Reader, I (2024), Love Letter to Who Owns the Heavens (2022), and Antidote (2013, winner of the Ohio State University Press/The Journal Award). Her writing often blends experimental forms with themes of love, memory, and public engagement.
