Corey Tolliver Sr.

Corey Tolliver Sr. serves as an Adjunct Lecturer of Social Work at Bethel University, teaching across the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Adult and Professional Studies, and Graduate School. He is Director of Operations and Clinical Lead at Life Services Mental Health Agency in Richmond, Virginia. His work focuses on addressing mental health challenges among homeless populations and community-building initiatives. Corey holds a B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University (2013) and an M.S.W. from Baylor University (2021).

Research interests include trauma experiences among Black men and barriers to mental health access. He is completing LCSW licensure hours as a Licensed Mental Health Professional-Supervisee. Corey supervises a team of Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) and provides outpatient therapy. Notable awards include the Boost 200 LCSW Supervision Grant.

Teaching specialties emphasize leadership development through safe, inclusive environments and motivational mindset training. He regularly presents on topics like faith integration in social work and culturally competent practice. Professional memberships include NACSW and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.
