Corey Damon

Corey Damon, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Canisius College within the College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on marine fouling organisms, biofilm formation, and antifouling coatings through structural biology and enzymatic processes. He also explores biochemical changes from strenuous exercise.

• Education: PhD and MA in Chemistry from University at Buffalo; BS in Biochemistry from Canisius College

Dr. Damon's research bridges organic chemistry and marine biology to develop silane-based antifouling materials using natural metabolic pathways. His recent work emphasizes computational methods in organic mechanisms and hybrid xerogel surfaces.
