Constance Kelley

Dr. Constance Kelley serves as Associate Professor of Music and Music Area Coordinator at Angelo State University within the Department of Visual and Performing Arts. Her responsibilities include teaching Applied Flute, Music Theory, Aural Skills, and Elementary Music Methods while directing the university Flute Choir and founding the Concho Valley Community Flute Choir.

Her academic credentials feature:

• Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Southwest Missouri State University
• Master of Music from Louisiana State University
• Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Dr. Kelley's professional focus centers on flute pedagogy and performance, music education methodology, and community music engagement. She has presented internationally in El Salvador, Nicaragua, South Korea, and five U.S. states, with performance experience spanning orchestral, military band, and chamber music contexts including the West Texas Winds and North Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

A dedicated ensemble leader, she founded the Concho Valley Community Flute Choir and performs with The Mesquite Trio. Her career includes prior faculty positions at Union College and Concordia University, along with public school band direction in Lawrence, Kansas, and notable solo performances with military bands including the 312th and 62nd Army Bands.
