Comfort Chima

Comfort Chima is a Nurse Tutor and Programme Director at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). She holds a MSc in Nursing from University College Dublin and is a doctoral candidate at Maynooth University. Her academic roles include leading the Ophthalmic Nursing Programme, teaching modules on wound healing, lymphoedema management, and professional reflexivity, and supervising MSc research students.

Education Background: Comfort completed nursing and midwifery training in Nigeria before relocating to Ireland. She earned a BSc in Nursing (2012), MSc in Nursing (2010), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Health Science Education (2016). Her doctoral research focuses on healthcare education and patient care.

Research Interests: Her work spans curriculum development, nursing education innovation, wound management, tissue viability, and lymphoedema care. She contributes to international guidelines for lymphoedema management and advocates for reflective practice in nursing education.

Awards: Recognized with the prestigious RCSI Excellence in Teaching and Learning Award (2019-2020) for her educational contributions. She also holds a Fellowship in Nursing and Midwifery from RCSI.
