Colin Wood

Dr. Colin Wood is a Senior Lecturer and Joint Course Leader for Postgraduate Awards in Professional Development, as well as Course Leader for the MA in Outdoor Education at the University of Worcester's School of Sport and Exercise Science. His roles involve teaching, research supervision, and curriculum development focused on professional development, online learning, and outdoor education.

His research interests span professional development methodologies, heutagogic learning, distance learning, and the social dimensions of outdoor education. He has extensive industry experience in outdoor recreation, corporate development, and expeditionary learning, including leading jungle expeditions globally. Colin supervises postgraduate work-based research and teaches modules on professional development, project-based learning, and research methods.

He holds the Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and contributes to the Worcester Award scheme as an assessor.
