Ben Looker

Ben Looker is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Worcester's Centre for Academic English and Skills, specializing in Secondary and Post Compulsory Education. He teaches on the Science PGCE course and facilitates Science Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) courses for postgraduates.

His research focuses on the social psychology of education, particularly examining pupil alienation and teacher-pupil dynamics. He bridges natural sciences and social sciences through a critical realist approach to grounded theory methodology.

Ben contributes to academic publications, including co-editing a special edition of Education Sciences and authoring a forthcoming grounded theory methodology text with Routledge. He supervises three PhD students in education and delivers research-informed Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs for schools.
