Colin Vance

Colin Vance is a Professor of Quantitative Methods at the School of Business, Social & Decision Sciences at Constructor University in Bremen, Germany. He concurrently serves as Deputy Director of Environment and Resources at RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research. His research focuses on energy policy, transportation systems, economic development, and global environmental change, with a particular emphasis on spatial econometrics and GIS applications. Vance holds a BA in International Relations from Boston University (1992) and a PhD in Economics from Clark University (2000).

**Research Interests**: His work integrates spatial analysis with economic modeling to address land-use dynamics, climate policy effectiveness, and infrastructure adoption. Notable areas include renewable energy subsidies, electric vehicle market dynamics, and the socio-economic impacts of environmental policies.

**Funded Projects**: Recent initiatives include the EU-funded "JUSTNature" (2021-2025) and "Human-Centric Energy Districts" (2019-2023), exploring sustainable urban energy systems. He also contributed to the German BMBF-funded DIPOL project (2018-2021) analyzing climate policy scenarios.
