Colin Ripley is Chair and Professor at the School of Interior Design, Toronto Metropolitan University. He holds a B.Eng. from McMaster University, M.Sc. in theoretical physics (University of Toronto), M.Arch. (Princeton University), and a PhD in Philosophy, Art and Critical Thought (European Graduate School). His research focuses on queer architecture, megaregional urbanism, and sonic architecture, with a critical lens on spatial politics and domesticity.
Ripley’s career includes major awards such as the 2009 Professional Prix de Rome (Architecture) and Governor-General’s Medal (2006).
