Colette Beecher is a Senior Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at Sheffield Hallam University's College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences. She qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1990 at Salford School of Occupational Therapy and has specialized in neurology, particularly brain injury and cognitive rehabilitation. Her teaching focuses on neurology, brain anatomy, and community rehabilitation across undergraduate and postgraduate occupational therapy programs. She earned an MSc in Vocational Rehabilitation in 2013 and received the 2014 Inspirational Teaching Award. Her research explores the meaning of work post-TBI and mild head injury rehabilitation. She also works in private practice through MoreRehab, providing neuro-rehabilitation consultations for clients with acquired brain injuries.
