Claire Wagner

Claire Wagner is a full-time Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Pretoria since 2019. She previously held positions as Associate Professor (2010-2018) and Acting Head of Department (2017-2018).
Education: Master’s in Research Psychology and Doctorate in Psychology.

Research Focus: Combines environmental psychology with social research methodology, emphasizing pro-environmental behavior and urban sustainability. Current research includes recycling behavior, water-sensitive urban design, and collaborations with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

Key Publications (2016-2020): Focus on recycling dynamics, interdisciplinary mentoring, cross-cultural environmental attitudes, and urban fuel practices. Recent work explores policy impacts and community engagement in Pretoria.
