Katarzyna Byrka

Katarzyna Byrka is an Associate Professor at SWPS University, affiliated with the Faculty of Psychology in Wrocław and the Department of Social Psychology. She serves as Head of the Social Behavior Research Center at the Institute of Psychology. Her work bridges social psychology with environmental and health psychology, focusing on indirect attitude measurement and the gap between expressed intentions and actual behaviors.

Her research explores habit formation, compensatory behaviors, and pro-environmental/pro-health actions. She teaches methodologies for psychological research planning and execution. Notable awards include the Iuventus Plus and START grants from Polish academic institutions.
