Claire Tarrant

Claire Tarrant is a Senior Lecturer and Lead for Undergraduate and Pre-registration Programmes in the School of Health Sciences at the University of Surrey. She qualified as an Operating Department Practitioner in 2010 and received the Jean Robson Award. Her career transitioned from clinical practice in anaesthetic units to education, driven by an interest in innovative teaching strategies.

Her research focuses on evaluating teaching methodologies and formative feedback in curricula, collaborating with students and colleagues to enhance educational strategies. She teaches undergraduate courses in Paramedic Science and Nursing Studies (Registered Nurse Adult Nursing).
