Claire Kirchhoff

Claire Kirchhoff, Ph.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Marquette University. She specializes in anatomical education and research focusing on skeletal adaptations, trauma, and primate morphology. Her teaching emphasizes the ethical relationship between anatomists and body donors.

Research Interests: Investigates how behavior influences skeletal morphology, dental and skeletal pathology in primates, and innovative approaches to anatomy education. Her work bridges anthropology and medical training.

Advising & Curriculum: Leads programs for pre-medical, pre-dental, and pre-PA students. Oversees the Pre-Dental Post-Baccalaureate Program (BMPD) and the Undergraduate Summer Research Program (SRP). Collaborates with the Integrative Neuroscience Research Center (INRC).

Labs/Teams: Active in the Biomedical Sciences Student Association (BMSA) and Sterilizer Monitoring Service (SMS). Previously taught at University of North Texas Health Science Center (2010–2016).
