Claire Bulgin

Dr. Claire Bulgin is a Principal Research Fellow in Earth Observation at the Department of Meteorology, University of Reading. She specializes in satellite-derived Climate Data Records (CDRs) and their application to climate change impacts, including pest outbreaks and urban thermal comfort. Her work involves satellite image classification (land, sea, sea-ice, coasts), uncertainty characterization in surface temperature retrieval, and all-surface temperature analysis. She leads the CANARI project (Climate change in the Arctic-North Atlantic region and UK impacts) under the National Centre for Earth Observation (NCEO).
