Dr. Cindy Shmon is Professor and Head of the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. A DVM graduate from the University of Saskatchewan, she completed her internship and surgical residency at the University of Guelph, where she also earned her DVSc. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP).
Her research focuses on soft tissue surgery, neurosurgery, urogenital surgery, injuries in working and growing dogs, and teaching surgical skills, with current emphasis on lumbosacral stenosis.
