Chungki Min

Chungki Min is a lecturer at Mozarteum University Salzburg and a dedicated teacher of Piano and Score Reading. He is affiliated with the Wind, Brass & Percussion Department and the Institute for New Music. Since 2011, he has contributed to music education while maintaining an active career as a conductor and performer, specializing in contemporary repertoire and collaborating with renowned orchestras such as the Munich Philharmonic and Brucknerorchester Linz.

• Education: Studied at Seoul National University and Mozarteum University Salzburg (2002–2007), earning distinction in conducting and the Bernhard Paumgartner Medal.
• Professional Roles: Founded the MozArt Sinfonietta Salzburg (2007) and leads the Austro-Korean Philharmonic Orchestra (2016–present).

Min’s research interests revolve around contemporary music, with a focus on orchestral conducting and ensemble performance. He has premiered numerous works by modern composers and worked alongside conductors like Dennis Russell Davies and Gustav Kuhn. His performances span South Korea and Europe, emphasizing cross-cultural collaboration.

In 2007, he received the Bernhard Paumgartner Medal for academic excellence. He also held principal conductor roles with the Bucheon Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and Seoul Euharmonic Chamber Orchestra in South Korea.
