Dr. Christopher S. Beekman is a Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Colorado Denver, where he has taught since 2001. His research focuses on sociopolitical practices in ancient western Mexico, particularly analyzing interactions between regional groups and employing multidisciplinary methods to deconstruct static models of subsistence and settlement.
