Christopher Paciorek

Christopher Paciorek is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of California, Berkeley. As a statistical computing consultant at the Statistical Computing Facility and a research computing consultant with Berkeley Research Computing, he bridges statistical methodology with computational tools. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor in the Biostatistics Department at Harvard School of Public Health.

His work focuses on hierarchical modeling software (NIMBLE), paleoecological data analysis, climate event attribution, and global health monitoring. He obtained his PhD in Statistics from Carnegie Mellon University (2003), an MS in Ecology from Duke University, and a BA from Carleton College.
