Professor Christopher McKenna is a Tutorial Fellow in Management Studies at Brasenose College and Reader in Business History and Strategy at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He holds a BA in Economics from Amherst College and a PhD in History from Johns Hopkins University.
- Visiting Fellowships: Harvard, Yale, Georgetown, and Toulouse.
- Previous Position: Taught at Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
His research focuses on the historical development of professional firms, their strategic roles in business and international contexts, and the history of white-collar crime. He is a founding member of the Clifford Chance Centre for the Management of Professional Service Firms at Saïd Business School.
Teaching includes undergraduate courses in Economics and Management, specifically Introduction to Management and Strategy, as well as MBA and executive programs. He has been recognized for teaching excellence, nominated for the UK National Teaching Fellowship Award in 2005 and 2006.
Current research projects include a forthcoming book on the history of white-collar crime from the South Sea Bubble to the present, analyzing recurring patterns of financial scandals and their socio-economic impacts.
