Hayden Griffin

Hayden Griffin is a Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), within the College of Arts and Sciences. He joined UAB in 2013 and holds a PhD in Criminology, Law, and Society from the University of Florida, along with degrees in History/Political Science, Law, and Criminal Justice. His research focuses on drug policy, corrections, law and society, and white-collar crime. Notable publications include co-authored books such as *Correctional Fundamentals: A Narrative Approach* (2019) and *Routledge Handbook of Corrections in the United States* (2018). His work often critiques drug regulation, media framing of criminal justice issues, and corporate malfeasance. Dr. Griffin actively teaches courses like Judicial Process in America, White-Collar Crime, and Criminal Law.
