Christopher Gagne

Christopher Gagne is the Chair of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts and an Assistant Professor of Music at Springfield College. He joined the institution in 2019, where he directs instrumental ensembles and teaches music history courses. His performance career focuses on jazz and contemporary improvised music, with collaborations featuring renowned artists such as David Liebman, George Benson, and Bob Brookmeyer. Gagne’s research explores technology’s role in modern music education and the cultural intersections of music.
