Cercie Miller

Cercie Miller is a jazz saxophonist, composer, and bandleader currently serving as the Coordinator of the Jazz & World Music Program and Director of Wellesley BlueJazz at Wellesley College. She also holds an Associate Professor position in Ear Training at Berklee College of Music, where she teaches jazz improvisation, saxophone and ensemble technique, and jazz theory.

Her research and pedagogical interests include saxophone technique, jazz theory, and the history of jazz. She has led the Cercie Miller Quartet (CMQ) and co-founded the avant-garde Your Neighborhood Saxophone Quartet, with notable recordings and collaborations with artists like Patty Larkin and Lisa Thorson. She received an NEA study grant to explore improvisation and composition with Jerry Bergonzi and David Liebman.
