Christopher Ciampoli

Christopher Ciampoli serves as an Adjunct Professor in Towson University's Department of Music within the College of Fine Arts and Communication, teaching music theory and aural skills. He concurrently holds an adjunct faculty position at Harford Community College, instructing composition, violin, chamber music, electronic music, and popular music courses.

Ciampoli's creative scholarship explores intersections between historical and contemporary musical practices, integrating methodologies from visual art, poetry, anthropology, and astronomy. His work emphasizes cross-disciplinary dialogue through composition and performance, with particular focus on:

• Contemporary classical composition techniques
• Violin performance across traditional and avant-garde repertoires
• Cultural anthropology applications in musical expression
• Electronic music production and sound design
• Astronomical phenomena as compositional frameworks

Professional Experience: As a violinist, Ciampoli has held Concertmaster positions with the Peabody Camerata and TCNJ College Orchestra, served as Principal Violin II for Symphony Number One and the Occasional Symphony, and performed internationally from St. Paul's Chapel at Columbia University to nature preserves in North Carolina. He has presented masterclasses with Georg Friedrich Haas, Christopher Rouse, Kate Soper, and Jennifer Koh.
