Christopher Bauer is Professor of Chemistry at UNH specializing in chemistry education research. Since the 1980s, he has developed inquiry-based curricula and assessments spanning K-16 education.
He holds a Ph.D. from Colorado State University and has published extensively on metacognition in STEM, emergency remote teaching, and affective learning factors. His research combines quantitative and qualitative methods to examine student self-awareness and instructional efficacy.
Bauer has led outreach programs for science museums and teacher development. Current projects focus on peer-led team learning models and assessment tools for chemistry attitudes.
