Dr. Tobi Odeleye is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at West Virginia University (WVU), serving as the faculty liaison for the WV Science Public Outreach Team (SPOT). His research focuses on chemical education, particularly undergraduate student attitudes toward chemistry, metacognition, and qualitative research methods. He teaches courses in Fundamentals of Chemistry and Chemical Education. Dr. Odeleye leads the Odeleye Chemistry Education Research Group, which explores student experiences, lab environments, and teaching assistant training. He chairs SPOT, a program connecting WVU students with K-12 audiences through STEM outreach. His work is supported by NASA’s WV Space Grant Consortium, and he collaborates with institutions like the Green Bank Observatory.
