Christopher Allen

Christopher Allen serves as the Artist Lecturer in Percussion at the School of Music, Carnegie Mellon University. His professional network includes notable student placements in prestigious orchestras such as the Oregon Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra, and Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. Students from his studio have also contributed to the founding of companies like Ginter Sticks/Mallets and Luft Mallets and Tambourines.

His research and teaching focus on advancing percussion performance techniques and orchestral readiness, reflected through student successes across North America and internationally. Allen’s expertise is further demonstrated through his contributions to instrumental pedagogy and ensemble leadership.
