About
Christophe Loyez is a full-time CNRS researcher at the Institute of Electronic Microelectronic and Nanotechnology (IEMN) since 2002, affiliated with the University of Lille. He leads the CSAM research group focused on energy-efficient communications systems, comprising researchers, associate professors, professors, and engineers. His academic roles include HDR (Habilitation to Supervise Research) since 2012 and thesis director in energy efficiency systems.
Research Interests: His work spans high-data-rate wireless systems, low-power radio communication, millimeter-wave technologies, CMOS/BiCMOS innovations, and neuromorphic systems. He explores applications in optical sensors, broadband RF systems, and energy-efficient communication paradigms.
Projects & Collaborations: He leads MEDEA+ and ENIAC projects on millimeter-wave systems, industrial collaborations on broadband vector RF systems, and joint labs with ST-Microelectronics (CMOS/BiCMOS technologies since 2006) and Prysmian (optical sensors since 2013). He is part of OMNT's neuromorphic systems working group.
Professional Activities: Member of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits French Chapter’s organizational committee since 2015, Associate Editor of the Journal of Engineering, and contributor to multi-technology initiatives like CSAM.
