Prof. Christoph Weiss is a Full Professor of Economics at Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), Austria. He holds a PhD from the University of Linz (1992) and completed his Habilitation in Economics there (1999). His research focuses on industrial organization, market competition, agricultural economics, and consumer behavior. He has held visiting professorships at Harvard University, University of California Berkeley, Queensland University of Technology, and others. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with empirical analysis, particularly on pricing dynamics, cost pass-through, and information asymmetries in markets.
Teaching areas include Microeconomics, Economic Policy, and Food Economics.
