Christoph Mueller

Dr. Christoph Mueller is an Associate Professor in Ageing and Mental Health Data Science at King’s College London’s Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), and a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. His research focuses on dementia epidemiology using the CRIS platform, exploring medication outcomes, environmental factors, and dementia subtypes. He is an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry and chairs the CRIS 4 Dementia Patient and Public Involvement Group.

Research Interests: Mental healthcare in older adults, clinical informatics, dementia progression, neuropsychiatric symptoms, and psychiatric epidemiology. His work emphasizes real-world precision medicine approaches for dementia care.

Publications highlight medication safety in dementia, late-life depression interventions, and pandemic impacts on mental health. He leads projects like the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre in Brain Health, advancing technologies for brain aging research.

Teaching: Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, supervising MSc/PhD students and mentoring resident doctors via the Maudsley Mentoring Scheme. Academic roles include leadership in geriatric psychiatry conferences and bridging NHS-academia collaboration.
