Christoph Dauberschmidt

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph Dauberschmidt is a Professor of Civil Engineering at Munich University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule München), Faculty of Civil Engineering and Building Services Engineering. He serves as Head of the Building Materials Laboratory and is a founding member of the Institute for Materials and Construction Research. Additionally, he acts as spokesperson for the BayWiss joint research college 'Infrastructure, Construction and Urbanization' in collaboration with Technical University of Munich, Bundeswehr University, and East Bavarian Technical University of Regensburg.

His research interests focus on building materials science, fundamentals of civil engineering, and repair and construction in existing buildings. Prof. Dauberschmidt specializes in concrete technology, corrosion protection, durability of concrete structures, and building diagnostics, with particular emphasis on parking structures and underground garages. His work addresses critical challenges related to chloride-induced corrosion, protective measures, and non-destructive testing methods for building assessment.
