Christoph Ehrenlechner

Christoph Ehrenlechner is a research assistant at the Chair of Metal Construction and the Chair of Timber and Building Construction at the Technical University of Munich. He holds an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering and has been involved in teaching structural engineering since 2023.

Education:

• B.Eng. in Civil Engineering, East Bavarian Technical University of Regensburg (2020)
• M.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Technical University of Munich (2023)

Research Interests: His work focuses on steel-timber hybrid construction and preparation for the reuse of timber and steel components, addressing sustainability in structural engineering. He has published on material reuse strategies and guidelines for steel recycling.

Teaching: He contributes to courses such as Timber Construction Basic Module, Supplementary Chapters on Steel Construction, and Steel Composite Structures at TUM.

Collaborations: He works with the Research Institute for Steel, Timber, and Masonry (VAKA) at KIT, as well as the Ministry of Regional Development and Housing of Baden-Württemberg.
