Dr. Christine Ryan is a Senior Lecturer in Politics and Global Studies at the University of Winchester's Department of Social Sciences within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She holds a BA from DePaul University (Chicago), an MA from the University of Manchester, and a PhD in Politics from SOAS, University of London (2009). Her expertise spans War and Security, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Antiracism, with a focus on Children and War, Political Sociology of War, and Conflict and Development.
Her research examines child soldiers in Sudan, media representations of conflict, and post-conflict societies.
