Christine Abraham

Christine Abraham is a Lecturer in the Department of Music at California State University East Bay. She is also affiliated with the San Francisco Conservatory of Music's Pre-College and Continuing Education programs, and maintains a private studio in San Leandro. Renowned for her operatic and orchestral performances, Abraham has collaborated with prestigious ensembles such as the Philadelphia Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, and Boston Baroque. Her career highlights include Metropolitan Opera and Spoleto Festival USA debuts, as well as prominent roles in works by Mozart, Beethoven, and contemporary composers.

Abraham is an advocate of contemporary music, participating in world premieres of operas like David Carlson’s Anna Karenina and Stephen Hartke’s The Greater Good. Her recordings are featured on labels including Signum Classics and Naxos American Classics. She specializes in diverse repertoire ranging from Baroque to modern compositions, blending technical mastery with expressive artistry.
