Christina Serifi

Christina Serifi is an architect, researcher, and urbanist affiliated with the Technische Universität Braunschweig through the GTAS (Global Tools for Architectural Study) initiative. Her practice integrates research, mapping visualization, and sustainable design, focusing on critical spatial practices and the intersection of architectural and social spaces. She co-founded TiriLab, an open platform exploring multicultural heritage in rural Greek communities, and served as Principal Researcher at Terreform, a New York-based center for advanced urban research.

Her research investigates urban fragments, marginal spaces, and the role of architecture in addressing climate breakdown, emphasizing participatory design and post-growth rural communities. Christina has received significant recognition, including the Fulbright Fellowship and a Future Architecture Platform Fellowship in 2020. Her work contributes to climate-focused architectural education and explores alternative spatial practices through projects like Design Before Design: Constructing the Climate Curriculum.
