Christina Ewig is a Professor and Faculty Director of the Center on Women, Gender, and Public Policy at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Her expertise spans gender, race, electoral politics, social policy, international development, and health policy, with a focus on Latin America. She investigates how increased political representation of women and indigenous groups impacts policy equality and examines health policy reforms' gendered effects.
Her research includes an award-winning book, Second-Wave Neoliberalism: Gender, Race and Health Sector Reform in Peru, which analyzed market-oriented reforms' disproportionate impacts on women. Current projects explore policy outcomes in Latin America related to gender and indigenous representation.
