Christina Edwards

Christina Edwards, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Loras College. She earned her B.S. from the University of Iowa (2008) and her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Kansas (2014). Her teaching portfolio includes courses in analytical chemistry, general chemistry, junior seminar for chemistry and biochemistry majors, a May term intensive research experience, and the chemistry of environmental sustainability.

Dr. Edwards' research focuses on environmental and surface science chemistry. Key projects include improving biodiesel fuel properties through novel refinement methods, synthesizing quantum dots with spectroscopic characterization, and analyzing local water quality.
