Christina Bain

Dr. Christina Bain is an Associate Professor and Department Assistant Chair for Art Education at The University of Texas at Austin's College of Fine Arts. She holds a PhD in Art Education from the University of Georgia, an MS from Syracuse University, and a BFA from Syracuse University.

Her research explores the intersection of theory and practice in art education, focusing on teacher development across preservice and inservice levels. Key areas include teacher identity formation, curricular innovation, technology integration in art pedagogy, arts integration across disciplines, and material culture studies.

Her publications demonstrate consistent focus on art teacher development, curriculum innovation, and experiential learning strategies. Recent work emphasizes collaborative methodologies and sustainable teaching practices.
