Christiane Reinecke is a Professor of Modern and Contemporary European History at Europa-Universität Flensburg, Germany. She concurrently serves as a seminar speaker at the Seminar for History and History Didactics and holds leadership roles at the Interdisciplinary Center for European Studies (ICES). Her academic career includes fellowships at Harvard University and the University of Paris, and she has held professorial roles at institutions such as the University of Leipzig and University of Hamburg. Reinecke’s research focuses on postcolonial European social history, migration control, urban marginality, and transnational methodologies. She is co-editor of Geschichte und Gesellschaft and Modere Stadtgeschichte, and leads the Inventar der Migrationsbegriffe digital platform.
