Christian Lane

Christian Lane serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Music at Towson University's College of Fine Arts and Communication. He concurrently holds the position of Director of Music at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Baltimore and is represented by Karen McFarlane Artists, Inc.

His research and professional interests center on organ performance excellence, commissioning new works by composers like Nico Muhly and Carson Cooman, and innovative music education through the Boston Organ Studio. Lane emphasizes international study tours and group learning experiences for students across Boston's major universities.

Lane has received critical acclaim for his solo recordings and choral accompaniment work, with Organ Canada praising his "panache, vitality and joy" that demonstrates the organ's musical capabilities. His performance style is noted for "gratifying musical maturity, suave, elegant, and exciting" execution (The American Organist).

As an educator, Lane founded and directs the Boston Organ Studio—the largest private organ studio in the United States. He previously served as Visiting Professor of Organ at McGill University (2018–19) and held positions at Harvard University and Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue. His leadership includes serving as national vice-president of the American Guild of Organists (2014–16).
