Christian A Johnson is a Senior Fellow (Melbourne Law Masters) at the University of Melbourne's Melbourne Law School. He holds an academic affiliation with Widener University Commonwealth Law School in the United States. His professional roles include co-editor-in-chief of International Banking and Securities Law (since 2015) and membership in numerous legal and financial regulatory bodies.

He has held leadership roles in legal task forces including chairing the Pennsylvania Lt Governor’s Task Force on Veterans (2016–2018) and the ABA Subcommittee on Insolvency (2009–2015). He is licensed in New York, Illinois, and Nevada bars, and holds inactive CPA certification in Texas.
