Chris Morgan

Chris Morgan is a Lecturer in Formal and Non-Formal Music Education at Falmouth University, coordinating the Making Music modules and contributing to BA(Hons) Popular Music, Creative Music Technology, and Music courses. He additionally serves as co-director of MADE (formerly Music & Dance Education).

Morgan's research concentrates on instrumental/vocal curriculum development, teacher training, life history and curriculum history research, instrumental teaching, conducting, rehearsing, directing, arranging, and composing. His work spans early years, schools, youth/community, healthcare, and instrumental teaching sectors with practical applications across diverse educational contexts.

As MADE co-director, he engages with early years, schools, youth/community, healthcare, and instrumental teaching sectors. He has provided nationwide INSET courses for instrumental teachers and developed music programs for preschoolers and elderly populations since 1996. His professional roles include Trinity College grade examiner, ABRSM professional development course leader, Cornwall Music Education Hub Strategy Group member, and Cornwall Music Service Trust adviser.
