Chris Mitchell is a Professor of Computer Science and Head of the Department of Information Security at Royal Holloway, University of London (2021–2023). He holds a BSc (1975) and PhD (1979) in Mathematics from Westfield College, University of London. His research focuses on information security, cryptography, and trusted computing, with contributions to standards like ISO/IEC. He co-founded the Information Security Group (1990) and launched the MSc in Information Security (1992).
