Chris Fox

Chris Fox is a Senior Lecturer in Art Processes and Architecture at The University of Sydney's School of Architecture, Design and Planning. He specializes in cross-disciplinary practices merging art and architecture, focusing on large-scale urban interventions that challenge material and conceptual boundaries. His studio, Studio Chris Fox, creates public artworks and urban designs that emphasize heritage reinterpretation, sustainability, and community engagement.

Education includes a Master of Fine Arts (2017) and a Bachelor of Architecture (2006), alongside international exchanges and diverse industry experience. Notable projects include the Rozelle Interchange sculpture (2023), Interloop at Wynyard Station (2017), and the Interchange Pavilion (2020), recognized with awards such as the 2018 National Trust Heritage Award and 2024 Steel Excellence Award.

Research explores computational design workflows, material innovation, and the role of art in urban regeneration. Collaborations with engineers, fabricators, and First Nations artists highlight his emphasis on teamwork. Future projects include Sydney’s Barangaroo Harbour Park as part of the AKIN collective.
