Chris Birch

Chris Birch is Professor of Enterprise & Innovation at the University of Greenwich's Faculty of Business. Since joining in 2010, he established the Centre for Innovation, Imagination and Inspiration (I3), securing £millions in international grants for projects improving SME productivity and sustainability. His work has shaped curriculum development and pedagogic processes across the university.

Professor Birch's research focuses on creating market-oriented educational products leveraging digital technologies, particularly for reskilling aging populations. He led the transformation of the Cooper Building into The Generator, an entrepreneurship hub for students and local communities.

During COVID-19, he accelerated digital engagement models while addressing challenges in institutional adaptability to rapid technological change. His research emphasizes agility in educational structures to meet future political and economic landscapes.
