Chris A. Browne

Dr. Chris A. Browne is a Senior Lecturer at The Australian National University's Research School of Engineering, specializing in systems approaches within transdisciplinary contexts.

His research focuses on:

• Conceptual models of complex systems
• Methodology of problem-solving processes
• Strategies for developing intuition of dynamic systems
• Processes for constructing and integrating shared conceptual models

These theoretical frameworks find practical application in critical infrastructure, healthcare, climate change, and education systems.

Dr. Browne holds significant leadership positions:

• President, Policy Council of the Oceania Chapter of the System Dynamics Society
• Deputy Services Director, International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE)
• Lead, ANU Curriculum Framework and Graduate Attributes project
• Convenor, ANU Vice-Chancellor's Courses

Previously, he served as Sub Dean in the Colleges of Science and Health and Medicine, and as Systems Engineering Discipline Chair.

Dr. Browne holds a PhD, BEng, and BAsianStudies from ANU and is recognized as a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
