Chloe Preece is a Professor of Marketing at ESCP Business School, specializing in marketing within the arts and creative industries. She currently serves as Academic Director of the MSc in Marketing & Creativity program. Her research focuses on production/consumption dynamics in the arts and their societal/cultural/economic impacts. She has published in leading journals including the Journal of Consumer Research, Annals of Tourism Research, and Journal of Macromarketing, and co-edited the 2023 volume Marketing the Arts for Routledge.
Educated at McGill University (undergraduate), King's College London (MA/PhD), she holds a Senior Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy. Previous roles include positions at Royal Holloway, University of London and Kent Business School.
Professionally, she chairs the Arts, Heritage, Non-Profit and Social Marketing Special Interest Group of the Academy of Marketing and serves on editorial boards for Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Marketing Management, and others. She has secured research grants from AHRC (StoryFutures projects) and BA/Leverhulme Trust.
Her work engages with institutions like Sotheby’s Institute and the Barbican Arts Centre through public programs. Current research explores digital storytelling and immersive experiences in cultural sectors.
