Chin-Teck Tan

Chin-Teck Tan serves as Associate Professor at the Hutton School of Business, University of the Cumberlands, and concurrently holds the position of Head Tennis Coach for both men's and women's teams. A native of Klang, Malaysia, he has been integral to the university since joining the faculty in 1988.

His academic foundation includes a B.S. in Business/Data Processing Systems from the University of the Cumberlands and an M.B.A. from Tennessee Technological University. Professional memberships include:

Tan's research and teaching expertise spans core business disciplines with emphasis on global economic systems and strategic management. His instructional portfolio covers foundational to advanced business subjects including Accounting, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Management Principles, Marketing, International Business, and Business Strategy.

Notable professional recognition includes four Coach of the Year awards and multiple NAIA finals appearances with tennis teams. His international engagement extends to coaching the Malaysian National Tennis Team in 1999.
