Chet Pancake

Chet Pancake is an Assistant Professor and Interim Chair of the Film and Media Arts Program at Temple University's School of Theater, Film and Media Arts. His work spans filmmaking, new media, and sound art, with exhibitions at prestigious institutions such as MoMA, the Royal Ontario Museum, and the Shanghai Conservatory. His films have screened at over 150 venues globally and are distributed by major outlets like Frameline and Bullfrog Films. His works are housed in 75+ university and museum archives, including Archive BORA in South Korea.

Educated at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (MFA, 2012), he received the Edes Fellowship for outstanding studio art achievement. His accolades include festival awards and the Leeway Transformation Award. His creative focus blends narrative and experimental documentary forms, addressing themes of cultural identity and innovation through multimedia platforms.
