Cheryl Warnock

Cheryl Warnock is an Associate Professor of Performing Arts: Theatre and Technical Director at Sweet Briar College. She holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Rollins College and an M.F.A. in Theatre from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Her role involves teaching technical theatre courses and providing technical support for Babcock Fine Arts Center performance spaces.

Research interests focus on theatre technology, design, and empowering women through education. She has directed over 20 summers at Girl Scouts programs and currently serves as Production Manager at Stagedoor Manor Summer Theatre Training Center in New York. Notable recognition includes the 2022 Sweet Briar Excellence in Teaching Award.

Teaching responsibilities include DARTS 113 (Technology for the Arts), THTR 212 (Theatre Technology and Design), and advanced technical theatre courses. She also leads international theatre tours through THTR 290.
